This was me in my first playthrough actually, like sure the poison could possibly harm the Kolto preventing harvesting but it would 100% get rid of the shark, where as destroying the machinery would 100% stop kolto harvesting but Search them both to find 50 Credits, 2 Sonic Grenades, and 3 Antidote Kits.
